Biography:

Mr. Raja Visvanathan is working as Scientist-B (Computer Science) at INFLIBNET Centre, An IUC of University Grant Commission (UGC), Gandhinagar, Gujarat since September 2015.

He is basically a Physics graduate and pursued his masters in Computer Applications. He has more than 10 years of academic and research experience in various institutes.

Prior to Joining at INFLIBNET Centre he has worked for Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

At present he is a part of Software, Research and Development group at the centre. He is working with various projects which includes “National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) (www.nirfindia.org)” initiated by MHRD, INFED (INDIAN Access Management Federation), eNBA, Study In India, National Testing Agency (Web Portal), SHREYAS, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions for Innovation Achievement), PNMMTT etc.,

He has been invited with full scholarship and made the presentation about the updates of Indian Access management Federation by Asia Pacific Advanced Networking Group (APAN) in 46, 47 and 48th meetings at New Zealand, South Korea and Malaysia respectively.

He was selected as a Distinguished Engineer by REFEDS (Research and Education Federations), GEANT (An Europen Commission project), Netherlands. In connection with this fellowship he has been invited to attend and gave a presentation on TERENA Networking Conference (TNC19) at Tallin, Estonia in Europe on June 2019.

He is also an expert review committee member of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi for their various Cloud and Data Centre related Projects.He is the regular visiting faculty at Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, India.
