ALEX GRANDE takes a vision and makes it reality through sound strategy development. He intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage.   He is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in financial information that levers the business.  Respected as a credible voice in decision making, finding strategic financing partners, and establishing governance boundaries, Alex earns a seat at the table wherever he serves. Currently, as Head of Product Management and Program Management Office at AARNet, Alex oversees the product & program development & lifecycle activities of connectivity and over the top based services for the Australian & South Pacific R&E sector.  In 2018 Alex led the successful implementation of AANet’s Product & Program Management contributing to the delivery of over 50+ programs and consolidating AARNet’s market share in the R&E sector with a revenue growth of +60% in 2018.  Alex is currently spearheading major strategic shifts for transforming AARNet from a functional focus to an enabler of innovation for the business via the integration of Program Management in the organization.   Previously, as Head of M2M & IoT at Telstra –

Australia’s leading Telecommunication and Service Provider – Alex led the business case, development and introduction of Australia’s first IoT solution and growing Telstra’s market share by 30% & halted decaying carriage revenues.  During this time, Alex drove the acquisition of market share from Telstra’s largest competitors, repositioning Telstra as a recognized and credible player IoT for the domestic and global markets.  Earlier Alex rose through the ranks of Telstra transitioning from technology to product and marketing.   Alex began his career as technology specialist with Telstra. Alex holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics (Telecommunication & Business & Finance) from the University of Victoria.  Alex serves on several Global Industry Standards Associations inclusive of Product Management of Australia & IOTAA
